Southern New Hampshire University is based in Manchester, New Hampshire. Manchester is the largest city in New Hampshire and features many arts, entertainment, cultural, and recreational attractions. All four seasons are evident in Manchester, with average lows of 30° C and snow in the winter months (December, January and February) to 60° C in summer (July, August).


Southern New Hampshire University enrolls nearly 7,000 undergraduate students annually, evenly split between men and women.


Southern New Hampshire University programs are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the New Hampshire Postsecondary Education Commission.


Business programs are accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs and the European Council for Business Education.

The Penman Merit Scholarships of up to $5,000 per year are set aside specially for new international students. They are based on previous academic success. Students must have an equivalent of a 2.75/4.0 GPA to be considered. In order to renew for the next year, students must maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA at Southern New Hampshire University.
